About
Meet Shabab Gaza
Shabab Gaza is a grassroots movement led by dedicated young Palestinians who seek to maximize the potential within our own ranks. We are volunteers, activists, and advocates who believe the youth in Gaza are agents for profound, lasting change. In addition to youth- empowerment during crises such as this current genocide, we are also focused on community care through emergency aid relief. Shabab Gaza works to provide immediate assistance to the families in Gaza during times of crisis. Whether it's ensuring food security, clean water, medical aid, or shelter, we strive to be a beacon of hope and dignity when it's needed most. Beyond the immediate relief efforts, we are committed to contributing to the long-term development of Gaza with a focus on independence and self-reliance.
Collaboration
We believe in the strength of collaboration and partnerships. By working together and collaborating with other local organizations and local community leaders, we can achieve greater impact and foster growth more rapidly and communally.
Youth Empowerment
We believe that Gaza's youth are uniquely positioned to drive positive transformation as they are from the communities they serve and therefore understand the socio-political context in which they work, which is necessary to provide aid and care with dignity and respect.
Compassion
We approach our work with empathy, understanding, and patience, recognizing the particular challenges imposed on the people of Gaza.
Innovation
We embrace creative and resourceful solutions, leveraging the fresh perspectives and skills of the youth to address the unique challenges faced by our community.
Your support is a lifeline for those facing urgent challenges in Gaza. Together, we can provide hope, relief, and a path towards a brighter future.
OUR MISSION
Focusing on what matters the most
Emergency Humanitarian Relief
In times of crisis, our mission is clear: provide immediate assistance to Gaza families, offering essential resources like food, clean water, medical aid, and shelter. We strive to be a beacon of hope, ensuring that no one is left behind in their hour of need.
Elevating Youth Potential
We believe in the power of Gaza's youth to drive positive change within their community. Through empowerment initiatives, we tap into their creativity, skills, and determination, fostering a generation ready to tackle challenges and build a better tomorrow.
What We Do
Our projects include educational programs, and community-based initiatives including food security programs.
Food Security
Our food security program includes 10 operational kitchens throughout southern Gaza that cook hot meals for displaced families. Combined, our kitchens produce approximately 20,000 meals every day. You can find out more about each of our kitchens by clicking here.
Educational Programs
Our educational initiatives are aimed at providing learning opportunities for Gaza’s young children. As schools have become non-operational, there are little to no educational programs available for youth. As such, Shabab Gaza creates opportunities for young minds to become engaged and learn. We have created a learning space among a displaced tent community in which we host educational classes through creative learning techniques that maximize engagement. We also utilize this space for mental health services for women and children, and community entertainment as a means of alleviating the stress and discomfort of displacement.
